Instructions from the Red Cross:
Before the big day, please go to www.RedCrossBlood.org and Register for the “Temple Beth-El” Blood Drive as well as a time slot. You may have to register with the Red Cross brand new even though you may have donated with us in the past. The Virginia Blood Service (VBS) has combined with the Red Cross in Richmond. Our Sponsor Code is: Temple Beth-El in Area Code 23229.
Please try and pick a time close to that previously discussed but by all means, come when you must. Thank you so much for being a part of our lifesaving event. The Red Cross and Temple Beth El appreciates your support.
Please remember to do the following on the day of the drive:
1. Complete your pre-donation reading and health questionnaire online before you come to the blood drive at www.RedCrossBlood.org/RapidPass This will save about 15 minutes of your time.
2. Drink an extra 16 ounces of water or -noncaffeinated fluids before the donation.
3. Eat a healthy meal before the donation. Avoid overly fatty foods, such as hamburgers, fries or ice cream.
4. Please bring a Mask and Observe Social Distancing
5. Take the time to enjoy a snack and a drink in the refreshment area immediately after donating. You should be proud of yourself because you will be part of an event that is helping to save lives.
