7:30 PM - 9:00 PM3330 Grove Ave.

The Supreme Court decided Roe v. Wade more than 45 years ago. Today, with the recent appointment of two new conservative justices, its meaning and efficacy hangs in the balance. A number of states have passed six-week abortion bans. The resulting court challenges are likely to wind their way up to the Supreme Court, putting the fate of Roe in question.

In Judaism and Reproductive Rights: Where Do We Stand? Rabbi Michael Knopf, Professor Gillian Frank and Amy Hagstrom Miller will discuss the Jewish viewpoint on abortion, the history of Jewish reproductive rights activism, and the present and future of abortion access in the United States.

Moderator

Dr. Wendy Klein is a long-time advocate of health access, gender equity, & reproductive freedom. She is Medical Director of Health Brigade (formerly Fan Free Clinic), and Associate Professor Emeritus of Internal Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology at VCU School of Medicine.
