Tzedek tzedek tirdof -- justice justice, shall you pursue.

The late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg famously displayed these words on the wall of her judge's chambers. What does justice mean in the context of access to reproductive healthcare? How does our Jewish framework inform our ideas about freedom, choice, pregnancy, and abortion?

What is the current state of reproductive rights in the Commonwealth & in the country?

Dr. Wendy Klein is the Associate Professor Emeritus of Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology & co-founder of the VCU Institute for Women’s Health & of WISDM (Women in Science, Dentistry & Medicine). She is a lifelong advocate for reproductive rights and health equity.

Professor Gillian Frank is a postdoctoral research fellow at UVA in the Department of American Studies. His research focuses on the histories of religion and reproductive rights in the United States.
