The Talmud teaches that 30 days before Passover, we should start learning about the festival and its meaning. In that spirit, I offer a brief message each day leading up to Passover, drawn from the wisdom of the holiday and the Exodus story. Feel free to share/forward. -Rabbi Knopf
Day 27: I’ll Be There For You When commissioned by God, Moses argues that he lacked the qualifications to lead. Moses only saw his shortcomings; he couldn’t see his great potential. God, of course, also knew of Moses’ flaws, and never tried to dispel his insecurities. Instead, God tells Moses, “I will be with you.” Sometimes, in the depths of self-doubt, all we need is to know that someone who believes in our possibilities is there for us. And we, too, can play that godly role in the lives of others.
