Our Israel Book Club continues! Each month we will read a book about Israel and/or by an Israeli author, and meet on a Sunday morning to discuss the book over breakfast. Our SHALOM Israel RVA committee leaders and clergy will facilitate these discussions.

Dancing Arabs by Sayed Kashua
Suffused with humor and irony, Dancing Arabs centers around a young boy from a poor Arab village, his haphazard receipt of a scholarship to a Jewish boarding school, and the dislocation and alienation that ensues when he finds himself faced with the impossible: the imperative to straddle two famously incompatible worlds.
We will discuss this book on Sunday, October 27, 10:00am at the Religious School (609 N. Parham Road).
