Author Discussion with Aniko Bodroghkozy
Sunday, June 4, 2023 • 15 Sivan 5783
2:00 PM - 4:00 PM601 N Parham RdCome hear noted media historian and UVA professor Aniko Bodroghkozy on her new work Making #Charlottesville: Media from Civil Rights to Unite the Right.
Charlottesville’s “Summer of Hate” in 2017 became a world-wide media event, putting the resurgence of aggressive, empowered white supremacy, antisemitism and “alt-right” extremism on display, along with the anti-racist and anti-fascist movement in opposition to it. Making #Charlottesville examines the struggle against white supremacy and antisemitism in Virginia. This will be Bodroghkozy's first stop in Richmond for her book tour.
The event will be a Q&A with the author, moderated by Julian Hayter, Associate Professor of Leadership Studies at U of R.
Local artists will be on hand displaying their work at a craft fair in our lobby.
Sorry, Registration has ended.
